The Student Life Office has announced a new vision and mission statement for this upcoming school year. The updated vision, “Inspiring students to lead, connect, and thrive,” shows the main goals of the office and shows what they are trying to accomplish.

Assistant Director of the Student Life Office, Emily Irwin, says about the change, “the new statements were an initiative by Stacy McKiff and student affairs; they wanted us to have set and concise goals.”

It had been a while since the original mission statement had been updated, so the student life office hopes this new statement will help better express the current goals of the office.

This new direction encourages students to step into leadership roles, form meaningful connections, and thrive in all areas of life. Speaking about each new aspect of the statement, Jill Trythall the Head

Director of the Student Life Office says, “Our office does a lot to develop students to be confident and competent leaders. With all of our events and clubs, we try to help students connect and find meaning. Finally thriving means your successful and having fun.”

Focusing on these three goals, the Student Life Office hopes to create an environment where involvement and support are at the center of Snow student success.
