The Lady Badgers have started this season going 3-6. In the Eastern Arizona Classic Snow went 1-2 on the weekend with a 59-50 loss coming from Cochise College and 74-63 loss from Eastern Arizona.

Then capped off the weekend with a 72-63 win over Pima Community college. In the win over Pima Community College Samiana Suguturaga led the way with 21 points shooting 8 for 14 from the field. While Grayce Glover added 13 points and 3 three pointers. The badgers as a whole shot a whopping 47.6% from beyond the arc. Glover has said.” One of our strengths this year would be our defense and our quickness. We are a quick team from our guards to our posts and that has given us an advantage offensively and defensively. Our biggest strength, I believe, is our unity. We get along as a team so well off the court and when we play team basketball that unity and chemistry comes out on the basketball court and we are a tough team to beat.”

The latest Thanksgiving classic shows the badgers perseverance as they ended a 3 game lose streak with a victory.

They lost a battle to Casper College 64-55. Then finished the weekend strong with a 68-67 overtime win against Western Wyoming Community College. Where 4 Lady Badgers scored in double digits and Suguturaga pulled a double double with 12 points and 14 rebounds with 6 of those being ripped off the offensive glass.

Glover also mentioned,” Our biggest thing that we’re trying to improve this season is to become more consistent. We have steadily been progressing on consistency with decision making, ball movement, defense and team chemistry with the intention of beating a team for a solid 4 quarters instead of just 1 or 2. That is giving us a lot of confidence going into conference knowing we have put in the work to become more poised, consistent team. we know what were capable of, we just have to go and prove it.``

Come cheer on your Lady Badgers as they start conference play.
